Payroll Specialist
Hybrid (On site Broughton)
12 month + Contract (Inside IR35)
£24 per hour (Umbrella)
Our client, a global organisation, urgently require a Payroll Specialist to undertake a long term contract.
The role:
1. Responsible for the accurate and timely running of all divisional payrolls from start to finish monthly.
2. Responsible for ensuring that all divisional payroll accounts with HMRC are correct, investigating any misbalances and dealing with remittances for all third parties.
3. Provide expertise on escalated complex issues and queries for the HR and Payroll processing teams.
4. Have a full understanding of the impact of Maternity/Paternity/Shared Parental leave/Sick pay on each divisional payroll to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
5. Deal with HMRC in relation to Tax and National Insurance queries, this will include building a relationship with the relevant CRM.
6. Executive population responsible for the contractual administration for the executive population using the Workday catch up user role.
Skills/Qualifications:
7. Experience within a payroll environment.
8. Experience of a computerised payroll system (SAP/ Workday knowledge would be desirable).
9. Knowledge of PAYE, SMP, SPP, SSP, Student Loans, Pensions and other deductions.
10. Proven customer service experience both verbal and written.
11. Recognised payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) would be desirable.
12. A Levels or higher qualification would be advantageous
