The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team.
Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Senior Electronics Support Engineer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will lead the Electronics Support team at trackside events where you will be responsible for the operation, performance and reliability of both on and off-car electronic systems. Principal Accountabilities:
* Oversee the operation of the on and off-car electronic systems, optimising their performance and ensuring reliability.
* Ensure all trackside operations and procedures are followed correctly.
* Ensure all additional system requirements are supported to the highest standards including correct installation, calibration and operation.
* Resolution of electronic system faults.
* Liaison with the FIA, suppliers and technical partners.
Requirements
* A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or similar.
* Previous experience of providing track support within high level motorsport.
* Experience of the configuration and management of motorsport data logging systems, preferably Formula One® SECU and associated tools.
* Experience with automotive electronic systems, CAN and sensing technologies.
* Understanding of electrical schematics and wire harnessing technology.
* Familiarity of working with high voltage electrical systems on hybrid or electric vehicles.
* Ability to plan and manage own workloads.
* Clear and concise communication.
* Is self-motivated, innovative and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines.
* Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
