IT Teacher
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per year

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and innovative IT Teacher for one of the local Secondary Schools in Southampton. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality IT education to secondary school students, devising engaging lesson plans, and monitoring student progress in adherence to the national curriculum. This role involves collaboration with the IT department and close work with the Head of Faculty. The school emphasizes fostering digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, which are integral to its ethos.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver IT lessons aligned with the national curriculum, catering to individual student needs.
* Employ diverse teaching methods, including lectures, group activities, and hands-on projects, to enhance student engagement.
* Evaluate student progress through regular assessments, homework, and tests.
* Provide constructive feedback to students and parents, identifying areas for improvement and success strategies.
* Utilise technology and digital resources to enrich the learning experience.
* Participate in extracurricular activities like coding clubs, IT fairs, and field trips.
* Collaborate with colleagues to implement school-wide programs and initiatives.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
* Teaching certification or qualification (, PGCE, QTS).
* Previous experience teaching IT to school students.
* Profound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Collaborative team player.
* Updated DBS.
