Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for supply chain management? Our client, is seeking a motivated Purchasing Assistant to join their team. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of their supply chain department.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing the order process, including placing and monitoring purchase orders and maintaining electronic records.
2. Communicating with suppliers, expediting orders, following up on late deliveries, and confirming orders.
3. Providing analysis of supplier data, including delivery performance, quality and forecasts.
4. Supporting the supply chain team by assisting with initial set-up and providing general assistance as needed.
Requirements:
5. Previous experience in a purchasing role, with an understanding of supply chain processes.
6. High level of proficiency in IT and experience working with purchasing software.
7. A customer-focused mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
