Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Prosthetist who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamic team in Cambridge. The role will involve working with a complex clinical case load, presenting exciting opportunities to develop clinical skillsets. The role will be instrumental in working with the prosthetic team, consisting of clinicians, technicians, and wider NHS MDT to advance and improve the delivery of the service.
There are a wide variety of patients and extended practice clinics including, but not limited to:
* Primary care
* Paediatrics
* Silicone clinics
* Pre-amputation
* Veterans
* Upper limb
Key Skills/Responsibilities:
Some of the key responsibilities the role holder will have responsibility for:
* Independent and autonomous responsibility for a caseload of patients
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients and the smooth running of the service
* Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs)
* Inputting on initiatives within the centre service development plan
* Ability to treat patients who use MPKs incl. C-legs, Geniums, Rheo
* Experience with CADCAM rectification techniques
* Knowledge of high activity prosthetics to treat veteran patients
Qualifications:
Either:
* Certified Prosthetist
* HND Orthotics
* BSc Orthotics
Must also be fully HCPC Registered.
