Business Development Manager South West £50k 20% bonus Grafton Recruitment is pleased to be working with a leading manufacturing client who is seeking a BD Manager to join their team and oversee customer relations in the South West region. Our client is looking to speak with candidates who have a background in construction and experience selling to national developers. As BD Manager, you will be required to liaise with stakeholders in the commercial team, oversee a diverse range of product categories and collaborate with the wider salesforce on prospective opportunities. THE ROLE: Some of your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager: Act as the key contact between the company and the territories customer base in order to exceed customer expectation. Address customer concerns related to products and services in a timely and efficient manner. Develop processes and strategies to drive sales and deliver excellent levels of customer service. To promote all products into developers which are in line with the company sales expectations. You will collaborate with other colleagues to maximise cross selling opportunities and support internal business functions. Prepare and execute sales and business expansion plans to support revenue growth. To achieve assigned activity goals and other defined targets. Stay up to date on the company products and market changes. To continually review sales data in order to support commercial activity whilst embracing emerging technologies to maximise opportunities within the sales cycle. Use software to maintain accurate records and provide reports. THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction product sales. Good understanding of the housing developer market and associated product knowledge. Knowledge of market and current industry trends. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to conduct face to face presentations with prospective customers. Effective time management. Highly self-motivated with strong resilience. The ability to use relevant computer applications, as well as creative, analytical and commercial thinking.
