Bournemouth Airport is seeking a talented and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our Engineering services and drive innovation in a dynamic airport environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage Engineering Services: Oversee a safe, compliant, and efficient range of Engineering and Project services, ensuring optimal resource management and a culture of safety and operational excellence. Budget Management: Prepare and manage operational and capital budgets to align with business needs, keeping plans updated to reflect changing demands. Infrastructure Oversight: Monitor airport infrastructure and facilities, identifying future requirements and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Team Development: Effectively coach and train team members, fostering their professional growth. Environmental Leadership: Lead the Airport’s Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with the requirements of ISO 14001 and coordinate initiatives to reduce carbon emissions in line with the Net Zero 2040 policy. Promote Best Practices: Maintain technical archives, ensure health and safety standards, and champion innovation across teams. Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the airport in various committees and positively engage with key stakeholders. Emergency Response: Support the implementation of emergency plans and conduct necessary investigations during incidents. Successful track record of managing complex projects within budget and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
