Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. Managing long term conditions within competence.
2. Working collaboratively with general practitioners to provide the highest level of care.
3. Assessing, evaluating and monitoring treatment plans.
4. Being competent and up to date with cervical cytology screening, childhood immunisations, contraception management, and all aspects of immunisations and vaccinations.
5. Being proactive in promoting a healthy lifestyle and navigating care to appropriate services.
6. Mentoring and supporting nursing associates and health care assistants.
7. Advising on foreign travel and administering travel vaccinations.
8. Managing complex pressure dressings and wound care management.
9. Ensuring infection control procedures and policies are followed and kept current.
10. Participating in practice audits, development plans, and meetings.
11. Maintaining own annual registration with the NMC and adhering to the Code of Professional Conduct.
12. Promoting own continuous professional development.
13. Performing any other reasonable duties that may be required on occasion.
