Our client, a distributor of specialist and high-quality equipment and services to the medical industry, is currently going through a rapid growth period and are recruiting for an enthusiastic individual to join their growing and busy team. They currently have an opening for a full-time Warehouse & Inventory Manager based in Quedgeley.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring the efficient handling of goods.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities
and a keen eye for detail. You must have experience managing teams, handling delicate equipment, and devising reports. As well as being highly organised with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee the accurate recording of all incoming and outgoing inventory
-Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, and shipping products
-Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with salesforce
-Develop KPIs that will add value for the business to support performance
-Reports to include inventory levels, warehouse productivity, and other key metrics
-Optimise warehouse layout for efficient space utilisation and easy access to product
-Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper labelling, storage, and organisation of goods
-Ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of orders
-Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols
-Monitor and manage warehouse supplies, ensuring the availability of necessary tools and equipment
-Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse staff, monitoring their performance and providing feedback
-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions
-Report any issues related to inventory or warehouse operations to the Head of Shipping and Logistics and support in implementing solutions
Candidate Attributes:
-Previous experience within a warehouse environment
-Good management skills with ability to motivate
-Excellent communications and organisational skills
-Good IT skills with a logical and systematic approach to work
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: £35k - £38k per annum + private medical insurance, 25 days holidays + bank holidays and team and social events
