Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm and Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm
Salary: £39,235.35 - £49,400.04

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking to recruit two Solicitors to be part of a busy Legal Services Team which aims to provide the highest quality legal service and advice to the Council.
One role will be within the Enterprise, Property and Procurement Team and will involve delivering a legal service to clients across the Council with a focus on property and commercial work. We are looking for a flexible individual with enthusiasm and a commitment to working in a local authority.
One role will be within the People and Communities Team and will involve providing representation and advice to the Council across areas including Housing, Social Work, Education, Employment, and Debt Recovery.
Applications are invited from enrolled solicitors with a current Law Society of Scotland Practising Certificate. These roles may suit a newly qualified solicitor as full training will be provided.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Current Law Society of Scotland Practising Certificate
2. Ability to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.
3. Preferred candidates will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by South Lanarkshire Council.
