Missing Project Worker
Ashton under Lyne, Tameside

Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00, 36 hrs/week – Office based
Our client are seeking a Missing Project Worker to join a team based in Ashton Under Lyne.
Conducting return to home interviews with children and young people who are returning home following a missing episode
Establish what has caused them to run away, what experiences and individuals they encountered whilst away and what could help resolve the issues that the child identifies
Complete specialist exploitation assessments, risk reduction and support plans
Deliver interventions to address concerns such as violence, substance misuse, ACE’s and impact of trauma
Provide support in order to protect them from harm and prevent risks
Ensure the appropriate provision of help and support with an aim of reducing missing from home episodes
Work with partner agencies to provide appropriate service
Escalate any immediate safeguarding concerns
Ensure the appropriate gathering of information to be shared with Children's Social Care, Police and other services as relevant
Build trusting working relationships
Maintain records of services provided to service users
Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary Requirements
DL, access to a vehicle, business insurance
Recent experience working with vulnerable children, young people and their families
Direct experience and a thorough understanding of the challenges of working with young people who are victims at risk of or being criminally exploited by organised criminal gangs
Good knowledge of child protection safeguarding processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
