Joining Waterman Aspen as a Principal Highways Engineer will see you as a key member of the North West team and you can expect: A varied client base where you can apply and develop your skills Further exposure to the industry and it’s leaders Working within clients being able to influence and make decisions Experience required… Essential: UK Experience within a public, private or third sector UK based client Advise on options and solutions to highway engineering matters, prepare works information and project manage the successful implementation of the preferred solution. Prepare concept design work packages for speculative bid funding applications quickly and effectively, identifying and quantifying likely costs from outline design to project completion. Manage the review of external technical submissions and proposals and liaise with designers in order to resolve issues. Lead on and support others in the financial management of schemes from inception to completion. Lead, manage and direct a team of professional and technical staff to meet objectives. Resolve issues from councillors and third parties such as members of the public who may be affected by network issues as a result of highway works and provide input to media enquiries. Line manage staff and contractors and lead / manage and sign off design IEng or CEng Qualification Eligibility to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence Desirable: Significant experience in highway design and construction (10years)
