A reputable and stable growing business, based in Leigh, are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
Your new role
In your new role as Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for all the transactional elements of the business, supporting the FC with the day to day accounting procedures. Your role will involve processing up to 50 invoices weekly, collecting delivery notes, matching invoices to delivery notes and inputting the invoices onto Xero. At month end, you will reconcile all supplier statements and ensure the invoices are allocated to the correct nominal codes. You will manage the sales ledger function, sending invoices directly to customers and assist with the payroll administration for 40 salaried staff, including collating all timesheets and checking hours against the clockcards. This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday either 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm with an hour lunch break.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you will have experience working on Xero accounting software and have a basic understanding of finance functions. Ideally, you will have experience of working in purchase ledger and have an excellent attention to detail, with the ability to deal withplex invoices.
