YOUR PROFILE

YOUR CHALLENGES
Boralex is a major renewable player with high growth targets. In your position, you will work on new assets developed and built by Boralex. Reporting to the Asset Manager Storage, you will be responsible for managing BESS assets in Ontario. In your role, you will have the following responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day activities of three (3) storage sites.
* Supervise a team of a BOP technician.
* Ensure a smooth transition from the construction to operation of these three (3) sites with a safe and efficient start-up.
* Demonstrate strong leadership in health and safety by maintaining a safe and healthy workplace and ensuring O&M compliance.
* Implement and maintain good management practices for operations, maintenance, and all other administrative aspects of the sites managed.
* Manage long-term service agreements with manufacturers.
* Ensure the sustainability and profitability of the sites.
* Participate in the budget process and manage the budget on a daily basis.
* Work with the Asset Management team to analyze production and financial data.
* Ensure compliance with site commitments: operating permits, owner agreements, contractor contracts, etc.
* Maintain and improve relationships with community stakeholders (landowners, utilities, etc.).
* Identify value creation opportunities with the Energy trader, Engineer, and Optimization team.
* Recommend implementation strategies and work with other services to execute these value creation opportunities.
* Play an active role in communications between the sites and head office.
YOUR SKILLS
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, any other relevant degree, or equivalent experience.
* Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience, including experience with major BESS projects.
* Maintenance management and operational performance improvement, employee development, and supervision as an asset.
* Understanding of the operating rules and regulations surrounding energy production assets (e.g., NERC, IESO, etc.).
* Leadership, autonomy, dynamism, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Rigorous, flexible, and available.
* Computer skills with Microsoft Office.
Mobility is required for this position as you will have to travel to sites on a daily basis.
