Shop Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team as a Branch Manager on a 39 hour contract, 5 days over 7, in the Dunfermline area.
What You’ll Do
Your main role will be to manage the operations of your shop and everything that this entails:
1. Lead by example and encourage your team to achieve your sales targets whilst providing the customer with a great shopping experience every time so they will keep coming back!
2. Recognising potential in your team and discussing their progression with them and the area manager.
3. Providing training to your team on Stephens procedures and offering support.
4. Monitoring and maximising the performance of your team whilst completing staff reviews.
5. Our managers like to muck in; when they’re not completing paperwork or cooking, they’re jumping on the till and helping their team with the lunch-time rush or grabbing a brush and sweeping the floor whilst delegating tasks amongst the team.
6. Morning, afternoon and late afternoon shifts are shared amongst management. Our morning shifts mean setting up our award winning baked goods in our display cabinets, putting away deliveries, counting stock and preparing salad whilst our late afternoon shifts include cleaning, sweeping and counting stock.
7. Complete compliance tasks to ensure that the shop is running diligently.
8. Our managers create rotas for their shops, handle the cash every day and order stock to ensure optimum availability.
What You’ll Need
Previous retail management experience is preferred but we do also look for the right attitude and work ethic - full training will be provided!
