Role Overview
The role is part of the PPP support to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) programme within Sellafield. The PPP support to DAM is an integrated project team with members from PPP and Sellafield’s asset management capability.
The DAM programme is a site wide delivery improvement programme supporting Sellafield’s improvement requirements, the programme aims to address a number of issues with Sellafield’s asset management arrangements with a targeted outcome of: “An integrated information line of sight from the asset through to the enterprise that integrates activities across the asset lifecycle, removes the burden of paper-based work processes from our teams and engages everyone in the use of modern digital technologies to inform decision making”
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain guidelines, templates and reference materials (including physical, logical and conceptual designs) to accelerate the creation of new architectures including High- and Low-Level designs.
• Develop and maintain building blocks from known architectural artefacts to create a repository of re-useable components to accelerate architectural implementation – emphasise is on IaaS/PaaS services and their use to platform hybrid cloud tools and systems.
• Review vendor provided architecture and platform requirements to design the underpinning hybrid cloud architecture and services to allow development of HLD and LLDs which will be built out by the system integrator.
• Support the Enterprise Architects to develop and maintain the proposed architectural roadmap.
• Provide expert technical advice, guidance and leadership to other areas of the business and external partners with regards to ICT solutions
• Identify, implement, and comply with applicable safety, environmental & quality, company procedures, policies, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure solution designs demonstrably support enforcement of information assurance and cyber security.
• Ensure solution designs maximise the use of existing approved architecture and services
• Be knowledgeable of Nuclear Sector Information & Data Classification Policies in addition to the UK Government legislative controls from organisations such as NCSC, ISO, etc
• Maximise within projects the use of Learning from Experience (LFE) and disseminating new LFE to relevant functions.
• Pursue personal development and identification of appropriate training.
• Be knowledgeable & proficient in the application of all Company appropriate processes, working practices and approved IT systems.
Skills / ESSENTIAL
• Design of Azure based hybrid cloud IaaS to platform COTS tools and systems
• Use of virtualisation and VDI/thin client presentation services to platform tools and systems
• Integration of cloud SaaS/IaaS/PaaS platforms into SIEM and SOC (MS Sentinel)
• Design and use of IDAM systems to allow managed, secure access to environments by trusted third parties
• Demonstrates good organisational skills giving the ability to deliver to timeframes and estimates.
• Demonstrates good written, oral, comprehension and presentational skills. Competent with MS Office:
o Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and PowerPoint for presentations.
o Ability to generate reports, charts, and graphs to effectively communicate project-related information.
• Good Communication Skills:
o Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, enabling clear and effective interaction with team members, stakeholders, and management.
o Capable of presenting complex cost and schedule data in a comprehensible manner to diverse audiences.
o Proficient in active listening, facilitating discussions, and resolving conflicts through effective communication.
• Willing to Chase People for Info (Self-starter):

• Hold or be capable of obtaining government clearance (SC/SL – Nuclear)
Skills / DESIRABLE:
• Experience of working in a regulated sector, preference of nuclear.
• MS Azure “Landing Zones” and use of Infrastructure as Code (BICEP) for build of hybrid cloud platforms
