Your key purpose of the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager role is to act as a management accountant and business partner to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), along with cost centre managers and the Senior Leadership teams to proactively develop and maintain robust reporting, financial modelling and provide advice in relation to long term planningYou will also provide strong budgetary controls across IT and the System/Product teams and, be directly involved in cost-benefit assessment, commercial viability and sign off for business outcomes This is what you could be doing:You'll be a Management Accountant acting as a business partner to provide clear sound advice and reporting to key IT & Change (Ways of Working) colleagues regarding the long-term planning and budgeting of all IT expenditureManagement and quality assurance of business outcomes by displaying diligence through challenge and robust analysis on all business outcomes to guarantee quality and accuracyProduce Quarterly Planning (QP) forecasts, indicating expected spend and value achieved across system/product teams and other change teams over the QP sprintsYou'll review and report on actual spend and delivery against forecast for each QP sprint for presentation to Board of Management (BoM) & SteerCoWork closely with the Reporting & Resourcing Specialist to develop excellent reporting to assess internal and external resource spend on business changeDesign and develop methods to track and report on benefits realisation for business outcomes, becoming an advisor for teams looking to implement a change control phaseMonitoring benefits captured in QP Sprints to report on delivery against plan and challenge deviations from planYou will develop a good understanding of all IT elements including hardware, service & maintenance contracts, licensing, consulting and HQ services to provide a rigorous input into monthly forecasting, budgeting and long term planningConduct regular meetings with cost centre managers to discuss actual spend, challenge key variances and forecast review on a monthly basis. Align a live phased forecast with Cost Centre managers to load to tableauPerform month end review of all IT cost centres, ensuring that journals are raised as necessary to correct posting errors so that all costs are correctly allocated for BoM and HQ reporting purposesProduce monthly finance slides for UK Board of Management and IT SLT, highlighting risks and opportunitiesAnalyse and calculate monthly accruals and prepayments for all IT Communications, Support and Maintenance to ensure that costs are accurately reflected in the correct periods How could you add value:Accountancy experience would be great or the equivalent financial planning experience, you may also be ACCA/CIMA qualifiedYou'll have excellent stakeholder management skills as this role will work closely with all levelsExperience of report development with MS Excel with strong analytical, financial modelling and reporting skillsYou are able to communicate at all levels within the company including Board of Management and confidently challenge and make recommendations regarding forecasting and budget settingYou have a methodical and disciplined approach to work with ability to work without supervision and meet your deadlinesAble to interrogate and analyse data and identify the root of a problem and provide solutionsYou also have experience of budgeting and forecasting discussions and analysis What's in it for you?
