You will support our growth and the delivery of excellent business results. You will be responsible for converting in-depth shopping and retail environment insights into category, retail and customer strategies and recommendations. Also, you will have the responsibility to ensure shopping is integrated into marketing plans and programs as well as supporting the cross-category shopper insights agenda.
How you will contribute
You will:
1. Be responsible for developing consumer selling stories using the consumer segmentation framework as its data foundation
2. Provide strong guidance to stakeholders on the principles and uses of consumer segmentation to unearth actionable, growth oriented insights at a retail level
3. Curate an advantaged level of social intelligence to uncover rich cultural trends, snacking moments, brand Identify and leverage growth opportunity in retail environment for the area of geographic responsibility
4. Generate behavior changing insight and identify effective levers of engagement
5. Continuously optimize business through data, tracking, learning
6. Drives action oriented insights on innovation, communication and brand growth imperatives to shopper, customer and net revenue planning teams
What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career with experience and knowledge in:
7. Experience in using retailer / customer data, shopper insights and analytics to develop compelling retail customer plans ideally in the FMCG/CPG industry
8. High proficiency in base business tools (Excel/PowerPoint), with expertise in data modelling with data visualization tools (experience with Tableau is a must)
9. In-depth knowledge in analyzing and creating visualizations of large amounts of data
10. Experience in presenting to retailer teams, and in negotiation planning/joint business planning
11. Strong knowledge and usage of market segmentation models
12. Proven track record in persuasively influencing and aligning key customers and business stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization
13. Able to partner well with marketing, sales and external agencies
More about the role:
This role sits centrally at a Pan-European level reporting into the Sr. Director of the EU Shopper Insight COE. This role will play a pivotal role in:
Business partnering the EU Central Sales Capability teams including;
14. eCommerce teams – 60%
15. World Travel Retail & European Export 15%
16. Revenue Growth Management – 15%
17. Perfect store + International Customer & buying alliance teams – 10%
Supporting and coordinating the local country shopper insight teams (across our EU business and country units) in building best in class learning plans leveraging best in class methodologies and insight generation to elevate the impact of shopper insight across the whole organization.
Co-lead and manage the EU Shopper Insight COE capability agenda to continue to drive EU shopper capability as part of our global ambition to become world leading in shopper insight (link to advantage score)
Co-lead relationship with the Global Shopper Excellence COE and leverage their capability agenda to impact on the EU region + lead learnings from EU to aid the Global agenda.
The ideal candidate would have experience and be able to display competency in;
18. Deep understanding of digital commerce and the future of this growth channel.
19. Managing multiple stakeholders (varied seniority, manager to Sr. Directors) with the ability to drive impact on decision making through insight as well as actively managing priorities.
20. Management of Market research plans, including budget, agency and methodology selection.
21. Knowledge & experience of Market research methodologies related to shopper and insights and analytics in general.
22. Leadership of an insight agenda, from understanding business needs and driving through to impact on decisions.
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential for this role.
