Due to ongoing growth, this position has been created to free up the director to focus on other areas of the business.
As an M&E Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from start to completion. These could be anything from commercial boiler replacements to complete fitouts and installations for HVAC plant and equipment. The typical project will range from £500k up to £5m in mechanical value; applicants should therefore have proven experience as the overall mechanical lead on projects of this size.
You will ideally be working in a senior position within an M&E contracting business and will be looking to continue in a strategic role, developing the business and being commercially astute.
M&E Contracts Manager Responsibilities:
1. Developing the business operations alongside directors
2. Develop existing client project managers, staff, and sub-contract supply chains
3. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) as well as attention to detail
4. The ability to work well under pressure and hit deadlines
5. Demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
6. Work closely with Senior Managers / Supervisors
7. Manage project cost procurement, analysis, appraisal, and budgeting
8. Ensure programs are agreed upon with clients and contractors before project commencement, updated as needed, and key deadlines are met
M&E Contracts Manager Requirements:
1. Mechanical Engineering City and Guilds or equivalent
2. 3-5+ years' experience in a similar position ideally
