Outline of role:
Taking inbound calls, accepting orders and general queries.
Processing customer quotation requests.
Processing orders.
Dealing with returns and credits.
Taking payments.
Dealing with account queries.
Setting up accounts on Sage.
Monitoring overdue accounts.
Support to the internal sales team.
Support to the external sales team.
Dealing with logistics queries.
Tracking daily parcel and pallet deliveries.
Downloading proof of delivery information and updating systems with information received.
Main duties:
The primary aim of this role is to be the main internal contact point for the business for both customers and staff. This is a crucial role and provides a very varied workload managing the day-to-day customer contact from point of quotation/order right through to point of dispatch. The role also involves dealing with and rectifying any logistical issues that may arise, creating and monitoring customer credit accounts, taking payments for orders, and offering support to both the internal and external sales team. The role will also include organizing and tracking customer returns and maintaining our ongoing high standard of customer service.
