Located in Bromley, Kent, Breaside Preparatory School provides a rich learning environment for your son or daughter. The school now has a new exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team on a permanent basis, 3 days per week (Tues, Weds, Thurs).
About the role
We are looking for a Early Years Assistant to assist in providing a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment for children. Also, to work within the standards and requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum in planning and assessment as well as helping children of all attainment levels achieve their full potential. The children in the Kindergarten are aged between 2½ years and 3½ years.
Who we are looking for:
To be considered for this role you will have a NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or equivalent, have a strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage Curriculum and have experience of delivering phonics to Early Years aged children (Jolly Phonics and Read, Write, Inc). We would also expect you to have the ability to deal with children and adults with tact and sensitivity and understanding of Safeguarding.
The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic and caring attitude with the ability to engage in a warm and supportive way with children. You will be an effective communicator who can use their initiative to provide a variety of engaging and stimulating activities.
