The opportunity
As Financial Monitoring Assessor, you'll take accountability for assessing the solvency and fitness and propriety of all the Appointed Representatives by investigating and understanding the financial soundness. You'll be competent in understanding and interpreting financial monitoring risk, taking responsibility for analysing and assessing risk and making sound judgement. This is a hybrid position based in our Swindon office, with 2 days a week required in the office. Benefits:

Key Accountabilities:
9. Checking of Financial Monitoring data in accordance with the AR Financial Monitoring policy ensuring information is accurate and applied to the set quality checking standards.
10. Proactively identify trends and feed continuous improvement.
11. Identifying errors and escalating risks.
12. Identifying and build relationships with Appointed Representative’s providing advice and guidance as required.
What will you need to succeed?
13. Experience in a financial services organisation, preferably an AR Network.
14. Experience of Financial Crime & ALM investigations.
15. Previous experience in assessing Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited company Financial Solvency.
16. Level 4 / Diploma qualified would be an advantage.
17. Level 1 Accountancy desirable.
18. Understanding and interpreting FCA guidance.
19. Moderate knowledge of investigative techniques.
20. Working knowledge of the concept of ‘treating customers fairly’.
21. Understanding of business structure, goals, and plans.
22. Awareness of data protection legislation and practical application.
23. Working knowledge on Anti Money Laundering application.
24. Keen attention to detail.
25. Investigative skills, particularly a strong analytical and questioning ability.
26. Sound judgement and decision-making capability.
27. Strong relationship and interpersonal skills.
28. Logical and methodical approach.
29. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
30. Ability to prioritise and organise.
31. Ability to analyse and evaluate complex financial information gathered on AR firms from financial reporting to assess an AR firm’s financial solvency and identify key risks.
32. Develop high quality, timely and accurate oversight reporting, evaluating root cause, themes and trends for the relevant T&C SME.
