Role:
Bookkeeper
Salary: Up to £28,000
Location: Huddersfield
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, hybrid working available
This job role also would include working the payroll department on monthly submissions to HMRC for wages and CIS returns. Experience with processing wages would be preferable, but training can be provided where necessary.
The day-to-day responsibilities for the role include:
1. Data entry on accounting software (Quickbooks, Dext, Xero etc)
2. Maintaining client records
3. Producing reports for clients
4. Managing and submitting client VAT returns
5. Processing standard monthly wages
6. Assisting with CIS return submissions
This is a full time role, although someone looking for part time hours would be considered.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
7. At least 3 years experience with data entry & bookkeeping
8. Experience of Sage 50, Xero, Quickbooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud an advantage
9. Previous experience with payroll software would be preferable (Brightpay, Sage payroll)
10. Strong Attention to Detail
11. Excellent Time Management Skills
12. Exceptional Communication Skills with a good telephone manner
13. Good written and technical Skills
14. Strong Prioritisation and Organisation Skills
15. Ability to Handle Confidential Information
16. Strong Record Keeping Skills
