School Sports Coach
Prospero Teaching are currently working with an SEN School for pupils aged 4-19 with complex learning needs. The School set high but realistic expectations for all students and encourage everyone to discover the joy of learning so that they may thrive, gain independence and be given every opportunity to achieve their full potential.
In the role as a Sports Coach, you will help students to be as independent as possible in their daily life, recognise and encourage them to thrive in all areas and help them learn vital life skills.
You will be an enthusiastic, energetic and a committed sports coach who will join a fantastic team.
We are looking for someone who :

2. is able to demonstrate they can work under pressure and prioritise effectively in a fast paced ever changing environment.

5. willing to work flexibly as the needs and demands of the school fluctuate
6. have a nurturing nature which will support and develop the wellbeing of all students
7. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and form positive relationships with students, parents and carers, colleagues and the wider community

15. Minimum rate of pay – £17 per hour

Experience, Training and Qualifications
17. Experience working with pupils with SEND and complex learning needs
18. Previous sports coach or have sports coaching experience
19. Be a charismatic and confident leader who will lead in front of children and adults
20. Be physically fit as you will be leading daily based physical activities for all classes – for pupils aged 4 to 19 years
21. Excellent verbal communication skills and experience in PECS and Makaton.

22. Hold Right to Work in the UK
23. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
24. Provide two professional child related references
