The University of Greenwich is seeking a proactive and diligent Asset Verification Surveyor (12m FTC) to join our Facilities Management team. This role, based at our Avery Hill, Greenwich, and Medway Campuses, offers a unique opportunity to engage with dynamic estate management challenges and contribute to our strategic and tactical objectives.
In this crucial role, you will support the Head of Contracts & Compliance in maintaining a precise asset register and implementing effective change controls. Your expertise will guide our internal and external audits, ensuring timely compliance and the advancement of our asset management practices. By developing detailed lifecycle models and comprehensive management reports, you will help optimise our asset strategies, reducing risks and costs while enhancing the overall service delivery across our campuses.
This position is ideal for someone with a background in building surveying, M&E engineering, or a related field, who is keen on applying their analytical skills and technical knowledge to improve our asset management systems. To be responsible for the collection of all property related asset data
Ensuring adequate control and monitoring is applied to all asset management activity undertaken by site teams and sub-contractors.
Assessing and monitoring asset condition data.
Work closely with the Sodexo and University Project teams to ensure robust management and handover of new or replacement assets.
Support the Head of Contracts and Compliance with building an accurate PPM schedule that aligns with the estate asset register and SFG20.
Qualification in a building surveying, M&E engineering or construction related discipline.
Significant relevant experience operating at middle-management level gained within a professional services environment or Estate Department.
Experience of controlling quality
MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Demonstrable experience in creating value from Asset Management
Flexible with the ability to overcome challenges whilst looking for continual improvements to service delivery, quality driven approach.
Experience in lifecycle planning in large and complex estates.
Analytical approach to data led decision making.
