Control Engineering Technician
Permanent role offering: £35,000 - £40,000
Location: Newcastle area, with opportunity to Work from Home once completing probation period.

We are currently seeking a Control Engineering Technician to join our client, a leader in enhancing the Nation's Electricity Network throughout the UK! They're looking for a Control Engineering Technician to be based local to Newcastle area or someone looking to relocate local to the area. The company offers an excellent flexible working policy and encourages working remotely when appropriate.
Working as the Control Engineering Technician:
You must have the ability to use various techniques to test High Voltage equipment, and more desirably testing substation automation equipment.
Control Engineering Technician Experience & Responsibilities:
1. Interrogating faults on SCADA systems
2. Supporting factory acceptance testing activities
3. Support Engineering team in laboratory environment with building, wiring and pre-commissioning the test kits used for projects.
4. Creating a full system setup of Energy Automation equipment mimicking substation control systems
5. Testing various digital and analogue inputs in accordance with test documentation
6. Supporting with product and system testing against industry standards
7. Develop knowledge of High Voltage Substation Control Systems and components
8. Working under the guidance of the Team Lead and Senior Engineers
Essential Requirements:
1. Experience testing electrical systems
2. Level 3 Qualification - Electrical
3. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential
Desirable Requirements:
1. Relevant electrical engineering experience
2. Panel Wiring Experience
3. Relevant electrical testing qualifications.
