The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced Lead Engineer to join a world-leading nuclear defense client based out of Devonport dockyard.
Job Overview:
Our client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth, and building infrastructure projects to support the ship and submarine sustainment programs.
Your primary focus will be to technically manage a team of engineers to identify and update extant Design Safety Reports (DSRs) to support the justification of safety claims made through the PSC-220 Phase 4 safety assessment.
Some of your duties will include:
* The checking and review of all technical output from the DSR Updates work package.
* Identification of the extant DSRs that require updating in support of the safety claims made through the new PSC-220 Phase 4 safety assessment.
* Input into the Facility Level Design Report as required by the 14 Dock Operations & Integration Manager.
* Ensure that the produced documentation covers the scope of operations required by the 14D Safety Project Manager and 14 Dock Operations & Integration Manager, and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
* Ensuring effective Quality Management Arrangements, operate and deliver through compliance with Babcock's Business Management System and Technical Manual.
What do you need to succeed?
* A degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
* Chartered Engineer (or working towards) and registered with Engineering Council.
* Nuclear Introductory Course or equivalent nuclear and/or marine system knowledge.
