We are currently recruiting for a nice temporary opportunity within the Neighbourhood Services Team as my clients Neighbourhood Officer. Our client is a large (recently amalgamated) Housing Group based in Wembley, London – role pays the hourly equivalent to £42,317 per annum. To provide effective and flexible neighbourhood management services to our customers to help build a community they are proud to live in. With a risk-based approach you will manage a portfolio of mixed / leasehold tenure properties, dealing with all aspects of tenancy management and working collaboratively with our Estates Team to ensure the highest standards are maintained. Provide effective customer facing neighbourhood management services to tenants and leaseholders on Mixed / leasehold tenure schemes in line with policies and procedures.
* Work in collaboration with development team colleagues on new development projects. Attend project site meetings to ensure there is effective record keeping of all potential management issues on new developments recording all current information within scheme management plans and scheme overviews.
* Excellent record keeping on housing management systems to ensure effective case management is maintained providing a timely and customer focussed response.
* Working with the service charge team validate service charge budgets. Provide advice, support and information to customers on leasehold and tenant service charges as required.
* Investigate and respond to stage 1 complaints and Members Enquiries.
* Ensure managing agents provide appropriate level and quality of services to residents working closely with leasehold specialist and service charge teams.
* Instigate legal action as required, gather evidence and present at court.
* Ensure that Fire risk assessment visits are carried out on a weekly basis.
* Effective CCTV management in line with Data Protection legislation requirements. Other housing management functions such as estate inspections, enforcement of parking, requests for additional keys and fobs in line with policies and procedures.
CIH Housing Level 3 qualification – or a willingness to undertake a relevant qualification
* Understanding of housing law and organisational policies and procedures (E)
* Accurate record keeping skills and experience of using housing management systems (E)
* Ability to prioritise and manage own workload, time and travel in order to meet required deadlines
