Mechanical Fitter – Tredegar
Salary: starting from £32,240.00 per year – Plus overtime available
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working hours: Monday – Friday
We are seeking an experienced an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a fast-growing engineering company.
Main Duties:
* Assisting with the installation of new machinery and equipment.
* Scheduling and carrying out maintenance.
* Performing necessary repairs and assisting during breakdowns.
* Ability to work from drawings supplied, and to draw up work from site visits.
* Some ability, if required, to operate machinery such as, lathes, milling, drilling, brake press, guillotine, and drilling etc.
* Hydraulics and/or Pneumatics knowledge.
* Must be a good team player, however, also able to work using your own initiative.
* Follow company health and safety procedures and wearing the correct uniform and PPE.
* Keep a neat and tidy workspace.
About You:
Skills & Experience
* ONC/Full Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Overall broad knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
* Experience with hand-held and power tools to assist work.
