My client is a leading provider of biomass boiler systems and off site pre-fabricated MEP Solutions.
They offer a full operation and maintenance package for all the systems they provide. They currently have a team of service and maintenance engineers covering our biomass installations throughout the UK and we are looking to expand this team via the recruitment of an additional full time Senior Field Service Engineer - PLEASE NOTE YOU DO NOT NEED BIOMASS EXP YOU NEED TO WANT TO LEARN AND UPSKILL YOURSELF.
This role will be based at our Inverness offices, however the candidate will typically travel to site from their home location on a daily basis, MILEAGE WILL BE PAID. The majority of works for this role shall be within the Highlands of Scotland on a range of sites for prestigious Local Authorities.
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Field Service Engineer with a keen interest in progressing into the Biomass sector. This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically minded individual who possesses a solid background in Commercial Plumbing & Heating and/or Commercial Electrical Industry, with biomass specific training provided by the company. The ideal candidate will have a robust work ethic and a desire to grow within our innovative company.
As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing Planned & Re-active maintenance, day to day repairs and ensuring commercial biomass heating installations are maintained in line with legislative and contractual compliance. Your role will encompass a variety of tasks that ensure the optimum performance and reliability of our systems.
Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm

IN SHORT -
Carry out Planned & Reactive maintenance tasks on commercial heating systems to include pumps, control valves, pressurisation units, and associated Mechanical / Electrical Services incl. Control Systems, Fuel Stores and augers.
Transition quickly into the Biomass sector by attending bespoke training courses and on-site learning workshops relevant to the plant being maintained.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and equipment failures, diagnosing issues and implementing repairs using own initiative engineering experience to minimize downtime.
Conduct servicing tasks to a high standard ensuring legislative & contractual compliance is upheld.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed on site, via company tablet and cloud based asset management software.
Provide excellent customer service, integrating with client representatives on site and building strong relations with key members of our client's team.
Collaborate with internal team members and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Essential Criteria:
Valid Driving License
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and heating principles
Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to diagnostics
Proficient in the use of hand tools and trade-specific equipment.
A background in commercial heating systems, with experience in on-site, hands-on work. Strong problem-solving skills & technical ability with a proactive approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
