CNC Turner
Surrey (M3 corridor)
£12-18 per hour (Days)
Due to a bursting orderbook and continued strategic expansion, my client, who is a market leader in a variety of castings and machining services, is now on the search for a CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join them at their manufacturing facility in Surrey.
Having been established for over 80 years and now with the backing of a progressive group of castings and machining companies, this is an exciting time to join this growing, yet very secure organisation, housing over 40 machines, together with castings, design, assembly, and testing facilities.
Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of setting, operating, and running CNC lathes to produce components that meet the organisation's quality standards. You will be responsible for some programming of editing functions, as well as the maintenance of the machinery and your working area.
The key responsibilities of your new role as CNC Turner are as follows:
1. Producing accurate, high-quality components with maximum efficiency.
2. Interpreting engineering drawings.
3. Creating programmes and production methods for new parts.
4. Competently setting and operating CNC machines.
5. Undertaking any minor changes to programmes to produce quality components to drawing limits and customer requirements.
6. Carrying out inspection, including first-off inspection, using gauges and measuring instruments.
7. Assisting in the cleaning, organisation, and maintenance of the shop floor work environment.
8. Promoting and providing constant input into continuous improvement.
9. Promoting a team environment.
10. Complying with all policies, specifications, and safety procedures.
My client is keen to hear from people with experience of setting, editing, and operating CNC Turning machines. You will also be able to understand engineering drawings and instructions, as well as the use of measuring equipment.
In return, my client is offering a competitive hourly rate of £12-18, dependent on experience, plus overtime, with opportunities for further progression within the group being readily available for those who want it. You will also benefit from an annual manufacturing bonus, in line with company profits.
The company is easily accessible from Camberley, Blackworth, and Farnborough, and the area offers sensibly priced accommodation and a variety of lifestyle options to suit almost any taste.
