We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Lead Occupational Therapist (Band 7) to join our dedicated and dynamic therapy team.
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Occupational Therapy Team Lead who is eager to make a meaningful impact in neurorehabilitation. You will play a pivotal role in helping individuals regain independence and transition seamlessly to their next stage of care or home environment.
As the Lead OT, you will:
Transform Lives: Work with clients recovering from neurological conditions, brain injuries, and spinal injuries. Your role also involves supporting general inpatient rehabilitation for local NHS Trusts and outpatient services.
Lead the Team: Provide strong leadership to the Occupational Therapy team, ensuring clinical excellence and a high standard of care within a multi-disciplinary framework.
Drive Innovation: Embed evidence-based practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and champion innovative rehabilitation techniques.
Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with admissions, discharge coordinators, and community therapy teams, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of care.
This role offers excellent professional development opportunities, with regular clinical supervision and support from the Head of Clinical Services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the OT team, promoting a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
Oversee daily OT operations, ensuring timely interventions and discharge planning.
Independently assess and treat clients, creating personalized rehabilitation and discharge plans.
Maintain a personal caseload while supporting team quality and client outcomes.
Deliver evidence-based OT interventions, attend multidisciplinary meetings, and ensure robust documentation.
Prepare reports, conduct home visits, and manage safety protocols, including lone-working scenarios.
Support service development, supervise junior staff, and engage in continuous professional development (CPD).
