We're excited to bring on board a dynamic and dedicated Design and Technology teacher at our school in Preston. You'll have the opportunity to engage and inspire KS3 and KS4 students, helping them unlock their potential and develop their skills. This position offers a competitive daily rate between £155 and £230, tailored to your experience, qualifications, and teaching ability.
In this role, you will also be responsible for creating a dynamic learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on experimentation. Your role will involve developing and implementing a diverse curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing mentor ship to help students excel.

Responsibilities:
6. Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
7. Strong knowledge of the curriculum
8. Punctual and reliable
9. Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
10. Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
11. Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
12. Set homework and mark promptly
13. Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
14. Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
15. Respond to questioning
Preferred skills:
16. Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
17. Strong classroom management
18. Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
19. Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
20. Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience
Personal attributes:
21. You will have a genuine passion for teaching
22. Experience up to key stage 3/4
23. QTS/PGCE equivalent
24. Be flexible and committed
