Job summary
The Digital Project Support Officer will support, facilitate and carry out detailed analysis work in order to contribute to the preparation of Digital Team project deliverables and progression and monitoring of projects through the life cycle.
The role will include working principally with the PCIC Digital Resource Team but also with associated health board as well as project team staff to understand the local readiness for change in order to identify, define, and deliver a change approach which ensures the success of projects.
Main duties of the job
The Digital Project Support Officer will be responsible for supporting and carrying out change activities in support of local Digital Team initiation and project improvement work in line with the PCIC Digital Strategy and Priorities.
The role involves delivering specific analytical work across the Clinical Board to understand the current business processes, develop new digital business processes to meet the requirements, and evaluate benefits identified for each project. The Digital Project Support Officer is expected to contribute to the implementation of these changes to workflow management.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Communication and Relationship skills
To engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, including managers and practitioners.
To assist with the delivery of the quality and communication plans for projects.
The role will include working closely with local representatives on local working and task and finish groups to support the translation of agreed business processes into local team practices
The role would also be expected to work with and as part of the PCIC Digital team, and work closely with other business areas in the Clinical Board and UHB including Governance and Risk, Infrastructure, Reporting and Communication
To participate in workshops with relevant staff to develop new business processes as required. This will include developing and delivering workshop material including presentations to facilitate discussions with staff, and reach agreement on how new processes should work.
To map as is and to be processes in order to facilitate the change for project delivery.
To work with key staff including managers and practitioners to assess scope of progress, people (culture) and organisation change requirements. To work with key staff and practitioners to persuade and motivate engagement with change.
To recognise and document changes to business processes and working practices.
To work with practitioner teams to complete detailed analysis on business processes and make recommendations where necessary.
Complete all work in accordance with defined processes, ensuring that governance requirements are maintained.
Maintain relationships with all operational staff through both professional conduct and provision of professional documentation.
Knowledge, training and experience
To share and pass on skills and learning with appropriate colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer within and across workstreams.
To participate and facilitate data collection/analysis for the PCIC Digital Team
To utilise and use Microsoft Office Suites at an advanced level including Excel
To utilise and support operational staff in the usage of existing and Clinical Board digital systems and support the implementation of new solutions as they are rolled out
Work closely with service level teams and staff at all levels
To familiarise and learn new technologies and systems in order to support roll out to staff
