Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching are working with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated SEN School based in the heart of the New Forest area currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to help provide emotional care and academic support.
This specialist setting catering for children and young people 9-18 who have SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health), Social Communicational Difficulties & Associated Learning Difficulties offers tailored educational packages to help in reducing barriers to learning and promote social, emotional well-being.
Your role will include providing support for pupils, teachers, and the school, working within small-class sizes or with pupils on a 1:1 basis offering a therapeutic approach rich in vocational opportunities.

9. Hours – 8:30 – ( hours per week)
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
10. GCSEs or equivalent
11. Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (preferable)
12. Minimum 1 year working with children
13. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
Eligibility:
14. Hold Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
16. Provide two professional child related references
