Sheridan Maine is excited to partner exclusively with a leading business to recruit for an Accounts Assistant with a strong commercial awareness to assist with the smooth day to day running of the finance department. About the Role:We are seeking an individual who is currently studying or interested in pursuing an AAT qualification. You will work closely with the Finance Manager in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role will involve taking ownership of both the purchase and sales ledger functions, alongside monthly transactional processing and reconciliation tasks.Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain the company’s purchase and sales ledgers
* Ensure timely resolution of invoices, statements, and queries
* Perform bank reconciliations
* Conduct supplier statement reconciliations
* Maintain daily cashflow records
* Oversee credit control processes
* Process expense requests and invoices
* Raise sales ledger invoices
* Assist with VAT returns
Skills and experience you’ll need to apply:
* Enthusiastic and keen to learn with some experience gained in a similar role
* Great communication skills and a "can do" attitude
* Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
