The Opportunity
As a Senior Microsoft Systems Administrator you will contribute to the success of Featurespace and its clients by working as part of our established Infrastructure Team to maintain and improve Featurespace’s on-prem and cloud Infrastructure.
This is a hybrid role based in our Cambridge office, so you will ideally be comfortable coming into the office 2-3 times a week. If you’re interested in the role but require more flexibility, please speak to us!
Day to Day
1. MS System configuration and support meeting best practice, InfoSec, policy and contractual requirements
2. Systems maintenance, support, monitoring, audit, and reporting
3. Reactive incident-management, monitoring, and alerting
4. Proactive service improvement projects
About you
Must haves:
5. Enterprise Microsoft server & client skills including architecture, installation, troubleshooting and operational maintenance
6. Management & optimisation of AD, Azure, MS365, Hyper-V, RDS, Teams, Sharepoint, WSO, AWS, MFA, SSO, Conditional Access
7. Backup technologies i.e. Veeam (local, Azure, AWS)
8. Automated OS & Application Patching technologies
9. Enterprise Storage technologies SAN, NAS (QSAN, DELL)
10. DataCentre monitoring & out-of-band hardware management
11. Automation & scripting ; Powershell, Ansible, VB, Python
12. IT Service Management; Incident, Change & Configuration Management
13. Process-driven ITSM tooling (Jira, ServiceNow or similar)
14. Structured troubleshooting methodologies
15. Managing third-party support providers
16. Authoring of clear technical & user-facing documentation
17. Disaster Recovery scenario-testing & process improvement
Great to haves:
18. Understanding of DevOps / CICD environments
19. LAN / WAN & TCP/IP Networking troubleshooting
20. Other virtualisation platforms such as OpenStack, VMWare etc
21. Exposure working in an audited (PCI DSS or equivalent) environment
22. Familiarity with Linux operating systems
23. Experience matrix-managing or leading teams through example
