Student Recruitment Events Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen working within Student Recruitment and Outreach in the Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment department. We are looking for an experienced Event Manager to plan, develop and deliver a range of undergraduate and postgraduate student recruitment and conversion events.
You’ll lead the way by:
* Planning annual recruitment and conversion activities in line with the university aims and ambitions alongside the Head of UK Student Recruitment and Outreach.
* Being an excellent strategic leader by developing and managing the Student Recruitment Event officers and the student ambassador scheme.
* Implementing a plan for undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment events with responsibilities in development and delivery of high-profile events such as open days and applicant days.
* Collaborating with key internal stakeholders to maximise the student experience at recruitment events.
* Playing a key role in enhancing the student recruitment culture across the university, maintaining and developing working relationships.
* Supporting the Student Recruitment Event Officers and the Student Recruitment Manager to direct the student ambassador recruitment activity ensuring adequate and suitable student ambassadors are available.
* You’ll coordinate regular reviews and reports on events to monitor the success and progress towards targets and measure return on investment.
* You’ll advise senior managers about attendance and feedback at recruitment and conversion events to provide high level advice and recommendations in cycle.
What you’ll bring
You’ll be a passionate and experienced event expert with proven track record in planning and delivering excellent visitor experience at all student recruitment events. You’ll have knowledge of the Higher Education sector and be able to bring creative and innovative ideas to increase the student recruitment events annual programme. As an event expert, you will have excellent communication skills through all channels, be a strong networker with the ability to influence at different levels with key stakeholders.
You’ll be an exceptional leader with experience of line management as well as experience working collaboratively within a fast-paced department. You will be able to connect with various stakeholders across the university.
Additionally you’ll:
* Be able to support and develop your team to reach their potential by using a range of leadership techniques.
* Hold a degree, equivalent or equivalent experience working in a similar role in HE.
