1. Migration of code from Microsoft SQL Server to Snowflake, including adopting a new data structure.
2. Produce high quality documentation and test evidence to support change management governance requirements.
3. Assist with the investigation of unexpected financial results through in-depth data analysis.
4. Support the development of new SQL code in Snowflake to support business reporting requirements related to financial data.
5. Support the development of financial based processes/insights through data analysis and query development.
6. Ensure proper operation of controls to safeguard the accuracy of financial outputs produced by the financial data team and compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and professional standards.
7. Other data related activities as may be required.
Who we’re looking for:
8. Capable in SQL programming languages. Other programming languages ( Python, R etc.) beneficial.
9. Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and data modelling techniques.
10. Experience in documentation of code changes.
11. Intermediate computing skills, including Excel and Power BI. Other relevant computing systems are an advantage.
12. Understanding of the SJP product range and how they operate.
13. Understanding of the data systems used within the SJP business.
14. Strong data analysis skills, particularly very large datasets.
15. Able to understand regulatory and statutory requirements.
16. Able to communicate complex issues in a simplified manner.
17. Able to build high-quality, effective relationships across the business.
18. Must be able to commute to our Cirencester head office (GL7 1FP)
