Job Title: Mid-weight Interior Designer
Company: An award-winning Warwickshire based, hospitality interior design practice
Location: Warwickshire (Remote work available)
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience
Established for over thirty years, our client has a substantial client base across the UK. Specializing in the hospitality sector, our client offers a comprehensive design and project management service to its clients. As the company continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for a talented Mid-weight Interior Designer to join the team.
Responsibilities:
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar Interior Design role
• Experience in design projects within the hospitality sector
• Direct experience working with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), AutoCAD, and SketchUp
• Ideally, a BA Hons in Interior Design or equivalent qualification, though proven ability is highly valued
Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of the entire design process from brief to completion
• Ability to provide creative solutions while meeting technical requirements
• Basic understanding of construction and relevant legislation
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients
• Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to manage various stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial site visits for new stores as required
• Produce or review schematic/feasibility layouts and full drawing packs
• Provide instruction/direction to Managed Staff
• Liaise with QS to ensure designs meet budget requirements
• Value Engineering of schemes to maximize design
• Liaison with directs and supply chain for design development and procurement
• Creative idea generation and evolution of Design Development
• Communication with clients regarding design aspects of projects
• Update the client's Tracker and internal workload/resource requirements
• Attend supplier meetings for review of new products and materials
• Assist in other areas of Design/drawing within the Office as required
