Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
1. Location: Barking & Dagenham
2. Pay: £85 - £100 per day
3. Contract: Temp to Perm
4. Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic and supportive school in Barking & Dagenham.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting children with additional needs, and will be able to help them achieve their full potential. The role will involve working closely with the SENCo and other support staff to ensure that children with additional needs receive the support they need to thrive in the classroom.
The ideal candidate will be able to build positive relationships with children, parents and staff, and will be able to work collaboratively with others to achieve the best outcomes for the children they are supporting.
Responsibilities
5. Supporting children with additional needs in accessing the curriculum and making progress
6. Working closely with the SENCo and other support staff to ensure that children with additional needs receive the support they need to thrive in the classroom
7. Building positive relationships with children, parents and staff
8. Demonstrating patience, care and the ability to remain calm under pressure
9. Communicating effectively with others to achieve the best outcomes for the children
Requirements
10. Proven track record of supporting children with additional needs
11. Excellent communication skills
12. Ability to work collaboratively with others
13. Understanding of the challenges faced by children with additional needs
14. A commitment to improving outcomes for all children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
