Accounts Manager / Business Services Manager (Accountancy Practice) – Guildford
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Accounts Manager to join a dynamic accountancy and business advisory practice. This role involves managing a portfolio of UK and international clients, overseeing staff, and supporting the training and development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, partnerships, and sole traders, ensuring timely preparation and review of accounts.
* Liaise with the tax department for VAT returns and ensure all filings are accurate and timely.
* Train and supervise new and junior staff in both the Guildford office and overseas.
* Promote innovative accounting practices and assist with business development activities, including attending networking events.
Skills & Qualifications:
* ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 5 years of practice experience.
* Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks).
* Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities, with attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, client-focused, and flexible, with a commitment to travel between offices and client sites as needed.
