The Head of Quality Opportunity:
Joining this esteemed organisation means becoming part of a mission-driven team committed to delivering exceptional community and primary care clinical services. As the Head of Quality, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety and Information Governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Director of Quality in enhancing the existing quality management system, ensuring the organisation meets and exceeds all regulatory standards.
2. Champion an open and transparent safety culture, encouraging incident reporting, and implementing lessons learnt to prevent future occurrences.
3. Collaborate with the Clinical Governance Group and other key meetings to deliver high-quality patient care, including preparing agendas and ensuring accurate and timely distribution of minutes.
4. Work closely with Care Quality Commission (CQC) Registered Managers to ensure compliance with all CQC standards and legislative requirements.
5. Partner with clinical teams to introduce annual quality improvement plans aimed at enhancing patient care.
The Head of Quality Candidate:
1. Masters level or equivalent in relevant quality and safety management.
2. A clinical qualification would be advantageous.
3. Robust experience in governance and quality assurance frameworks, with a proven track record in preparing and delivering high-level reports and policies.
4. In-depth understanding of Quality and Safety systems, including clinical governance and risk management processes.
5. Proficient in managing serious incidents, including root cause analysis techniques.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of CQC inspection standards, and an understanding of the NHS Primary Care agenda.
7. Experience with quality management reporting systems.
