About the opportunity
The Repository Infrastructure Framework is engineering, design and construction framework being delivered on the Nuclear Waste Services Low Level Waste Repository site at Drigg in Cumbria.
The team needs to grow to accommodate an increase in workload for at least the next 12 months.
For our site in Drigg we are seeking a Site Quality Assurance Engineer. You will report to the RIF Quality Manager and working with the Site QA/QC team.
Some of your duties:
1. Review, and endorsed as appropriate, Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans; undertaking associated compliance verification activities as appropriate.
2. Understand and implement the processes necessary for the provision of timely appropriate Quality support
3. Conduct Quality audits of site activities and sub-contractor operations on site, and off site as directed, in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule.
4. Ensure the quality standards of the Project are consistently met, raising the authorised project documentation where this is not the case.
5. Oversight of subcontractors, compilation and review of lifetime records
6. Concurrent maintenance of package status & progress reporting, raising issues and liaising with the project and client QA/QC team
Here's What You'll Need:
7. Experience working in a QA function or QC function within nuclear sector
8. Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and Sellafield CQRM.
9. ISO 9001 Lead auditor
10. CQI membership
