Roles and responsibilities:
* Receive materials, plant hire and ensure storage is secure
* Reconcile quantities with supervisors and vendors
* Adhere to Quality management systems and ensure appropriate document control
* Assist in arrangement for provision of transport, and to ensure prompt action requests
* Physical Inventory Control and verification on the usage of the material
* Propose and dispose surplus/ scrap material at facility location as per Company procedures
* Prepare, monitor and update Material Tracking Schedule
* Closely work with Planning Engineer to ensure materials are available as per the plan
* Coordinate with Material Engineer and Procurement Department for providing details for Material Submittal to obtain Client approval
* Planning with Procurement Department to minimise the inventory as agreed with Project Manager and prepare Monthly Materials Reports
* Expedite with Supplier for prompt delivery
* Monitor the Stores function and Storekeepers
* Regularly update the Quantity Surveyor on the materials required to complete the Project
* To ensure correct quantity and cost are debited to the items in CCS/SAP system
* To accurately back charge subcontractors and suppliers
* To ensure correct data is provided to Commercial Dept. for calculation of quantity and cost to complete budget items
Experience:
* Previous experience in stores or logistics, ideally in construction industry
* Previous supervisory skills desirable
Skills
* Proficient with MS Office and various computer softwares
* Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Excellent at building relationships at all levels in order to ensure flow of communication
