We are seeking a self-motivated, proactive and passionate People & Culture Manager to join our team at Hilton Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have previous Human Resources management experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment. You will be confident in influencing senior colleagues and passionate about communicating best People practices. You'll have a dynamic, bright personality with an intuitive and adaptable approach. The role will take the lead and provide comprehensive and confidential People & Culture support, contributing to our business goals whilst developing and maintaining positive relationships. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge and experience in HR, People operations or in a similar role. Be able to multitask, whilst being an organised, competent and resourceful individual with a passion for People development. The ideal candidate must have exceptionally strong communication, analytical, interpersonal and organisational skills with a strategic mindset. The role will be responsible for all aspects of the People & Culture function, including but not limited to:
* Overseeing recruitment, selection and employee onboarding;
* Managing a performance management system/process;
* Ensuring the company's procedures comply with local employment laws;
* Handling all aspects of employee relations;
* Managing employee sick leave, holiday and personal time off;
* Managing monthly payroll, ensuring labour costs are in line with budget;
* Manage day-to-day People function effectively and efficiently;
* Supporting management in all in all performance and succession planning.
The core skills and experience required to succeed include:
* Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry with a genuine passion and a creative flair;
* Previous experience in HR and Recruitment is required;
* Team player who communicates well with all colleagues;
* Punctual, reliable and trustworthy;
* Can do attitude;
* Previous experience within the hospitality or service-based industry would be ideal but not essential;
* To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
