About the role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Admissions Officer to work in our central admissions team, which manages applications to programmes across UCL. The post will typically be focused on undergraduate applications within one of our Faculty Teams.
Working as part of a team in a busy, friendly and supportive environment your duties will include: administration of all aspects of undergraduate admissions, such as assessing and making selection decisions on applications against agreed criteria; communicating decisions to UCAS and applicants; handling enquiries from applicants, parents, schools and colleagues within UCL; preparing documentation to support applicants applying for a visa through the Home Office points based immigration system; and ensuring all entrants meet and are compliant with statutory requirements. You will also play an active part in delivering results day activities in the summer as well as providing support to colleagues across UCL with open days and welcome activities throughout the academic year.
We are operating hybrid working and you will have the opportunity to work remotely for up to four days a week. At peak times (for example release of A level results, open days, enrolment) staff will be required on campus more often.
If you have any queries about the role, please contact Elizabeth Mead at:
This is an internal secondment role, available to current UCL staff only, and until 30 November in the first instance.
Staff wishing to apply for a secondment must discuss this with their existing line manager before applying. The line manager can then consider whether the employee can be released for the secondment and how the employee’s existing role could be covered during the secondment.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship or support visa applications at this time.
