Due to our continued success and growth, we are now looking for a seamstress to assist us in our venture into creating sustainable clothing designs. Zen Den aims to create stylish and environmentally conscious clothing for individuals who value both style and ethics. We pride ourselves on using sustainable materials, ethical production methods, and promoting slow fashion that lasts beyond seasonal trends. Job Responsibilities: Create and develop precise patterns for various garment designs based on sketches or technical drawings. Translate design concepts into paper, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Operate sewing machines and other relevant equipment. Collaborate to interpret designs and technical specifications, bringing creative visions to life with meticulous attention to detail. Perform garment construction tasks, including cutting, sewing, and finishing, to produce high-quality garments according to design specifications. Participate in fittings and make necessary alterations to achieve the desired fit and design. Work with a variety of fabrics and materials, ensuring accurate pattern placement and precise stitching. Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to maintain high standards of craftsmanship. Requirements: Expertise as a seamstress, with a background in garment construction and sewing techniques. Proficiency in working with various fabrics, including knowledge of different fabric types and their specific handling requirements. Ability to operate sewing machines, over locker and other relevant equipment. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality assurance. Familiarity with sustainable fashion practices and a passion for ethical and environmentally conscious clothing production is a plus. Employment Type: Part Time Role. Flexible hours. Timings can be made around your schedule. Works well if you have other commitments. We provide on-site sewing equipment in our studio or your work can also be completed in your studio if you have one.
