Robotic Simulation/Virtual Commissioning Engineers
Chapman Recruitment is looking for an experienced Robotic Simulation/ Virtual Commissioning Engineer. Our client was established in 2003, has a dynamic team that thrives on challenges, and is looking to welcome enthusiastic and self-driven individuals who are eager to develop and progress within the industry. We are looking for well-rounded Simulation Engineers who will be responsible for analysing products and process design feasibility, as well as supporting the development and optimisation of the process, tooling and facility from concept through to installation and start of production.
This is a full-time role and is offering work with large prestigious clients in several industries such as automotive.
Position Overview:
As a Robotic Simulation/ Virtual Commissioning Engineer, you will be integral in producing simulations for a virtual twin, produce reach studies and off-line programs. Your role will support the company's growth by promoting business through excellent customer care.
Robotic Simulation/Virtual Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Design and optimize simulation cells based on customer layouts.
2. Set up and validate robot collision zones and safety configurations.
3. Conduct reach and access studies to ensure product and process compatibility.
4. Select appropriate robots and validate their functionality.
5. Prepare comprehensive documentation and assist with onsite commissioning as required.
6. Create detailed robotic paths, validate operations, and perform virtual commissioning.
7. Communicate with customers to provide feedback on design intent and deliverables as per customer specifications.
8. Compile OLP deliveries and all supporting documentation.
Robotic Simulation/Virtual Commissioning Engineer Qualifications:
1. Experience with Process Simulate BIW experience.
2. Experience with Robcad beneficial.
3. ABB RobotStudio.
4. ABB, FANUC, KUKA robot experiences beneficial.
5. CAD Visualization/Interrogation (NX).
6. Strong Microsoft Office skills.
7. Script writing using Visual Basic, Python or C++ beneficial.
8. Experience with PLM software such as Teamcenter beneficial.
9. Valid UK driver's license (you will be expected to travel to clients).
10. Experience working with JLR, BMW, VOLVO, RIVIAN or TESLA simulation standards beneficial.
Robotic Simulation/Virtual Commissioning Engineer Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 40hrs per week with potential for overtime and weekend availability as needed. The role is hybrid based on roughly a 50/50 split until you are established in the company.
