We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Accounts Payable Manager to join our Finance team, in exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a real impact at Bath Spa University. You will oversee and manage the entire accounts payable function, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. About the Role As Accounts Payable Manager you will play a critical role in maintaining strong vendor and stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures and lead on the continuous improvement of our financial processes. This role involves hands-on management, coaching, and acting as the escalation point for the team, addressing payment queries, and maintaining AP inboxes. You will work closely with the Procurement team to oversee purchasing and payment processes, collaborating with the wider Finance teams on system development projects to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. Key responsibilities include managing payment runs, handling POs and expense claims, and producing regular AP and PO Exception Reports. About You You will be a proactive and experienced Accounts Payable Manager with a demonstrable experience of working in a managerial & hands on role and a proven track record working on accounts payable processes. You will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and skilled in workflow optimization with strong time management and organizational abilities. Proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business are essential. In addition, you will also have a keen eye for detail and a track record of improving accounts payable functions.
